The Japan Foundation Manila<\/strong>, in partnership with Solar Pictures, Inc., Sinag Maynila and the Film Development Council of the Philippines, is set to launch an online edition<\/strong> of the Japan Film Week<\/strong> for the first time beginning on\u00a0July 22 to 26, 2020,<\/strong>\u00a0following the successful run of Japan Film Week screenings in 2019.<\/p>\n

Featuring six unique Japanese films, the\u00a0Japan Film Week is a\u00a0spin-off of their well-loved annual Japanese Film Festival that\u00a0aims to provide varied content to Filipino audiences nationwide who wish to expand their knowledge on Japanese arts, culture, and language.<\/p>\n

A roster of animation, documentary, drama and feature films will be screened for free<\/strong> online on Vimeo.\u00a0 The line-up includes films such as\u00a0Bittersweet<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Nigakute amai<\/em>),\u00a0The Takatsu River<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Takatsugawa<\/em>),\u00a0Chieri and Cherry<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Chieri to Cherry<\/em>),\u00a0From All Corners<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Tabisuru danboru<\/em>),\u00a0Hana’s Miso Soup<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Hana-chan no misoshiru<\/em>), and\u00a0What\u2019s for Dinner, Mom?<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Mama gohan mada?<\/em>).<\/p>\n
