The on-going battle with COVID-19 is continually stirring the world. In times like this, we turn to words and arts to find hope, encouragement, and even comic relief to ease the worries brought about by the pandemic. Although apart, stories and images unite every single one of us.<\/p>\n
That is why the\u00a0National Museum of the Philippines,\u00a0<\/strong>in participation with Museum Week’s online global campaign called\u00a0#MusuemWeek2020<\/strong>, invites the public to\u00a0take part in their event called\u00a0My Museum Story,\u00a0<\/strong>which will happen on May 1 to 17.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n My Museum Story will run for seven days, with seven themes and seven hashtags. The chosen works will be featured in all of the National Museum’s social media platforms.<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/nationalmuseumofthephilippines\/posts\/3168347423189554?__tn__=-R<\/p>\n The global theme for this year is “Togetherness<\/strong>.” The word “together,” holds a collective power emphasizing the “universal message of being united highlighting the power of culture, heritage and the institutions that support them and their unique ability to bring people together,” despite being confined at\u00a0home due to social distancing measures.<\/p>\n If you want to share your story,\u00a0National Museum\u00a0provided 3 <\/strong>themes you can choose from:<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/nationalmuseumofthephilippines\/photos\/pcb.3168347423189554\/3168333786524251\/?type=3&theater<\/p>\n To participate, choose a theme that inspires you and\u00a0create content that includes your write up and your image or photo. The write up must be in English and contain a maximum of 300 words. Both contents should be submitted separately.<\/p>\n Make sure that the content must be original and should promote positivity and inspiration in Culture, Heritage, and Museums. However, minor photo editing and enhancement are allowed.<\/p>\n You may send in your entries to\u00a0services.nationalmuseumph@gmail.com until April 25, Saturday.
