Aspiring screenwriters and\u00a0fans of Philippine Cinema have something to look forward to this April as renowned and acclaimed writer\u00a0Ricardo \u201cRicky\u201d Lee<\/strong>\u00a0holds a\u00a0free online writing workshop<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0April 8, 15<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a022, 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The workshop hosted by Lee\u00a0with the Director’s Guild of the Philippines and\u00a0Lupon ng Pilipinong Sinematograpo\u00a0<\/em>in partnership with the\u00a0Lockdown Cinema Club<\/a>\u00a0is part of the campaign to raise funds for displaced film workers that have been affected by the enhanced community quarantine caused by the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Lee is a known icon in Philippine Literature and a giant in the Philippine Cinema industry with more than 180 written screenplays under his belt.<\/p>\n

Additionally, he\u00a0is\u00a0famous for\u00a0writing narratives that explore the reality of the Philippine society\u2014including all its beauty and flaws\u2014 and has successfully showcased these in his writings and in his films.<\/p>\n

The workshop will be limited to\u00a050 participants<\/strong>\u00a0per schedule. To join, you must be a Filipino citizen of at least 18 years old.
