Partake in the fifth installment of the 37th Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) Season<\/strong>\u00a0that actualizes the\u00a0theme Gold: Classical Music Treasures<\/strong> and be an audience of an exceptional music event!<\/p>\n

Concert V<\/strong> is happening this January 24, 2020<\/strong>, at the\u00a0CCP Main Theater<\/strong>\u00a0in Pasay City<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Still under the conducting mastery of the PPO Music Director Maestro Yoshikazu Fukumura,\u00a0<\/strong>the concert’s\u00a0leading player Adolfo Mendoza<\/strong>\u00a0will surely take everyone on a classical voyage.<\/p>\n

This is especially as he performs\u00a0Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart\u2019s Bassoon Concerto, B-flat Major<\/strong>, which is one of the three musical pieces to be performed for the night.<\/p>\n

The said piece takes centerstage between Antonin Dvorak\u2019s Serenade for String Orchestra, op.22<\/strong>, E Major,<\/strong> and Cesar Franck\u2019s Symphony in D minor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Adolfo Mendoza is the Principal Bassoonist of the PPO, who notably took on the role of\u00a0bassoonist at the September 2000 to March 2001 run of the musical \u201cMiss Saigon\u201d in the Philippines, and at the March to August 2001 run in Hong Kong and Singapore.<\/p>\n

The PPO’s\u00a037th Concert Season commenced last September 13, 2019, and will officially conclude at the Concert VIII on April 24, 2020.<\/p>\n
