Calling all nature enthusiasts and advocates!<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Green and Wild Expo<\/strong>\u00a0is happening on\u00a0November 20<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a021, 2019<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0SMX Aura, Taguig City<\/strong>. This two-day event is focused on the conservation of the Philippine natural environment, biodiversity, ecotourism, and bird photography.<\/span><\/p>\n

Those who have a penchant for nature, its elements and preservation, are invited to attend and experience the highlights of this unique expo\u2013the first of its kind in the country. Some of the highlights include:<\/span><\/p>\n

Lecture series<\/strong><\/p>\n

Local and international experts in the field of conservation and ecotourism, as well as bird photographers, will conduct talks and lectures. The expo is a great venue not only for networking with other stakeholders in the field but most especially for knowledge-sharing.<\/p>\n

Bird Cafe<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking of networking, there is an intended space provided for that purpose in the expo.<\/p>\n

The Bird Cafe encourages attendees to\u00a0meet, connect, brainstorm, and collaborate with people from different government agencies, clubs, non-government organizations, and companies who share the passion for the Philippine birds and the Philippine environment.<\/p>\n

Silent Auction for a Cause<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another highlight of the expo is the auction of photography\u00a0gear and outdoor equipment up for auction for the benefit of the Inabal weavers of the Bagobo-Tagabawa tribe in Sibulan, Davao del Sur.<\/p>\n

Haring Ibon Photography Contest<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bird photographers can showcase their skills by joining the first Haring Ibon Photography Contest. The deadline for submission of entries is on November 20 <\/strong>and the winners will be announced on the last day of the expo.\u00a0You can view the full mechanics of the contest\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There will also be exhibits of artworks, photos, and stamps featuring birds and nature as well as a\u00a0screening of Bird of Prey<\/strong>, a documentary on a Philippine Eagle family in the wild.<\/p>\n
