{"id":25774,"date":"2019-09-23T10:00:17","date_gmt":"2019-09-23T02:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/?p=25774"},"modified":"2019-09-23T15:39:28","modified_gmt":"2019-09-23T07:39:28","slug":"space-encounters-gallery-showcases-back-to-back-solo-exhibits-this-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/2019\/09\/23\/space-encounters-gallery-showcases-back-to-back-solo-exhibits-this-september\/","title":{"rendered":"Space Encounters Gallery Showcases Back-to-Back Solo Exhibits This September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><b>Space Encounters Gallery<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> unveils two back-to-back solo exhibits by artists<\/span>\u00a0<strong>Itsy<\/strong><b> Macasaet-Dazo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>Jem Magbanua<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as they present glimpses of their works\u2019 transformative process <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">from <\/span><b>September 26 to October 18, 2019.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><b>Cycles by Itsy Macasaet-Dazo<\/b><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For her second solo show titled <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cycles<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Macasaet-Dazo created a series of seemingly macabre subjects interlaced with colorful, dainty flora. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This confluence may sound jarring, but the execution is so effective that it renders her works as if they are visual fairytales.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"960\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25781\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/09\/space-encounters_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/09\/space-encounters_2.jpg 768w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2019\/09\/space-encounters_2-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She derives inspiration from specific experiences, influenced by Asian and Scandinavian folk art, as well as botanical prints.
