400\"> <em>La Pintura<\/em>, an oil on canvas painting in a true French Impressionist style.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" <em>Costumbrism<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Also included in the lineup is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>La Virgen Mar\u00eda Leyendo un Libro<\/em>,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> a rare work by Luna and Hidalgo\u2019s predecessor, <\/span><b>Sim\u00f3n Flores y de la Rosa,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0who is recognized as the first Filipino artist to have received an international award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" Joya<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> uses luminous colors to usher into modern times with his 1960 oil on board work, wherein colors are contrasted to dynamic effect and hues are applied in varying opacity to give the work balance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><b>Vicente Manansala<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> reins in Joya\u2019s abstractionism with his own style of cubism.
