Netsuke is worn suspended from the\u00a0<em>obi<\/em>, the sash worn with the kimono.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">From being functional pieces to prevent the loss of personal items, the art developed into highly creative carvings. In the present, the classic netsuke gained international acclaim as unique and detailed carvings.
