The abundant local products\u00a0of the SOCCSKSARGEN region will once again be highlighted and showcased at this year’s Treasure of SOX:\u00a0Travel and Trade Expo<\/strong> happening at Robinsons Place Manila<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0April 25 to 28, 2019<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Hosted by the Department of Tourism – Region 12<\/strong> in coordination with other government agencies and local government units, Treasure of SOX will feature a four-day expo<\/strong> of travel, sales, business, investments, food, fashion, farming, and new products!<\/p>\n

Here are some of the things you shouldn’t miss at this year’s expo:<\/p>\n

SOCCSKSARGEN Products<\/strong><\/h3>\n

SOCCSKSARGEN’s culture and its rich and prime products will be highlighted at this year’s expo through a series of activities and exhibits of food, wearable items, textiles, accessories, handicrafts and other products made from indigenous materials.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The exhibit will also feature\u00a0various fresh and processed food, assorted vegetables, rice, fish, bread, and pastries from the region. Visitors can also expect product launches such as\u00a0DTI Region 12’s ‘Our 12 Treats’<\/em>, or the region’s famous\u00a0pasalubongs. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Business, Fashion, and Culture<\/h3>\n

As a<\/span>dded features, there will also be investment forum courtesy of DTI as well as B2B or business-to-business matching.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They will also introduce the\u00a0<\/span>Durante Fashion Collections<\/em>\u00a0by Dante Mana, a 19-year old designer based in Surallah, South Cotabato whose creations feature the use of tnalak, inaul, and other indigenous textiles of Southern Mindanao.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

DOT 12’s latest initiative called ‘Complete WoMen,’<\/em>\u00a0a gender and development effort aimed at empowering the women worker of the tourism industry will also be highlighted throughout the expo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To make the expo even more exciting,\u00a0Hinugyaw<\/span>\u00a0Dance Troupe and SOX C<\/span>horeographers Association Region 12 will be doing cultural dances for everyone!<\/span><\/p>\n

Travel<\/h3>\n

Now on its fourth year, over a hundred thousand travel enthusiasts, tour operators, tourism cooperatives and travel associations will be gathered to bring the best of\u00a0SOCCSKSARGEN region. <\/span><\/p>\n

Visitors may visit booths and exhibits of some of the region’s popular tourist sites, and see the tour packages\u00a0they can offer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As they continue to introduce new products, this year’s Treasures of SOX will also reveal\u00a0a\u00a0<\/span>VIP card<\/strong> which tourists can use to avail of freebies and discounts from Regional Tourism Council-accredited establishments!<\/p>\n
