Last March, Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group<\/strong> opened its 20th Anniversary Season with Tony Kushner\u2019s epic masterpiece Angels in America: Millennium Approaches<\/a> in Makati that left theatre-goers in awe.<\/p>\n

Following this success, the productions company brings yet another critically-acclaimed show, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical<\/strong>, to Manila this June 14 to July 7, 2019<\/strong>, at Meralco Theater<\/strong> in Pasig City.<\/p>\n

Joining the previously announced Kayla Rivera<\/strong> and Nick Varricchio<\/strong>, who will be playing Carole King and Gerry Goffin respectively, are some of the country\u2019s most-acclaimed rising theater stars: Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante<\/strong>, last seen on the Atlantis stage as Lauren in Kinky Boots<\/em>, as Cynthia Weil, Carole\u2019s friend and rival; George Schulze<\/strong>, last seen as Earl in Waitress<\/em>, as Barry Mann; Gab Pangilinan<\/strong>, who starred in Ang Huling El Bimbo<\/em>, as the lead singer of The Shirelles and Marilyn Wald; Jill Pe\u00f1a<\/strong>, who last appeared in Side Show,<\/em> as one of the Shirelles and Janelle Woods; Teetin Villanueva<\/strong>, who also appeared in Waitress<\/em>, as Little Eva and one of the Shirelles; and Maronne Cruz<\/strong>, fresh from her impressive performance in Waitress<\/em>, as Betty, Carole\u2019s childhood best friend.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, among the actors who will be playing The Drifters are: Tim Pavino<\/strong>, who recently played the title role in Miong<\/em>; Arman Ferrer<\/strong>, who last appeared in Side Show<\/em>; Jep Go<\/strong>, who recently appeared in ETO NA! MUSIKAL nAPO!<\/em>; and Markus Mann<\/strong>, last seen as Judas in Godspell<\/em> in Florida.<\/p>\n

Nelsito Gomez<\/strong>, who recently concluded his critically acclaimed turn as Louis in Angels in America<\/em>, will play a number of roles including Neil Sedaka while Rhenwyn Gabalonzo<\/strong>, who last appeared in Kinky Boots<\/em>, will play one of the Righteous Brothers. Joining them are Gabby Padilla, Dean Rosen <\/strong>and Alex Reyes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
