Silent Sky, <\/b><\/strong>the critically-acclaimed\u00a0play by America\u2019s most produced playwright Lauren Gunderson, is back on stage for a limited encore performance line up this February 1 to 10, 2019<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City<\/b><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Based on the real-life story of one of the greatest unsung heroes of the science history, Reine Productions, in cooperation with Repertory Philippines, tells the story of Henrietta Levitt<\/b><\/strong>, a woman who battled tremendous societal pressure to give up her passion for astronomy, which was heavily dominated by males during the early 1920s.<\/p>\n

Her perseverance, dedication, and patience on her research led her to discover one of astronomy\u2019s biggest breakthrough.<\/p>\n

This is the second production of Silent Sky, which first premiered last March 2018 at the Onstage Theater in commemoration of the International Women\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

The Silent Sky\u2019s artistic team, composed of Philstage Gawad Buhay awardees Joey Mendoza (production design), John Batalla (lighting design), and Jethro Joaquin (sound design), together with the original cast members Cathy Azanza-Dy, Caisa Borromeo, Naths Everett, and Topper Fabregas, who also steps in as assistant director, is back to reprise their roles.<\/p>\n

This also marks the much-awaited return of renowned actress, screenwriter, and producer Bibeth Orteza to the Philippine stage, who will tackle the role of the brilliant and exacting astronomer Annie Cannon.<\/p>\n

Silent Sky will run from February 1 to 10, 2019<\/b><\/strong>, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.<\/b><\/strong>, and Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m<\/b><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tickets are available\u00a0at Ticketworld through 02-891-9999 or ticketworld.com.ph, with seat prices starting from Php 2,000 for Orchestra Center<\/b><\/strong>, Php 1,500 for Orchestra sides and Lodge<\/b><\/strong>, and Balcony at Php 1,000. <\/b><\/strong>Student rates are also available.<\/p>\n
