A Festival of Arts &amp; Ideas<\/strong> at the<strong> Cultural Center of the Philippines<\/strong>\u00a0on <strong>December 8 <\/strong>and<strong> 9, Saturday <\/strong>and<strong> Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20542\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/12\/Will-You-still.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Engage yourself in meaningful art activities that will deepen your understanding of the many mental and emotional health issues afflicting the society today. There will be performances, poetry reading, exhibits, forums, workshops and a lot more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On Saturday, an orientation, facilitated by actress Shamaine Buencamino will be held first at Bulwagang Carlos Francisco (Little Theater Lobby), 1:30 p.m. &#8211; 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Facilitated by Christine Crame at Bulwagang Amado Hernandez (Conference Room), <strong>Movement Connection<\/strong> is a dance healing session which will reconcile participant\u2019s internal thoughts through external movement. It will be conducted at Pasilyo Victorio Edades (4th Floor Hallway), facilitated by JMEAD Arts Factory. 40 is the maximum number of participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"575\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-20556\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/12\/will-you-still-love-me-ccp-1024x575.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/12\/will-you-still-love-me-ccp.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/12\/will-you-still-love-me-ccp-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/12\/will-you-still-love-me-ccp-768x431.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>IMAGE Shamaine Buencamino<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This will be followed by a screening of short films on mental conditions\u00a0from the 3rd Quisumbing-Escandor Film Fest\u00a0at Tanghalang Manuel Conde (Dream Theater), from 3:00 p.m. &#8211; 7:00 p.m., with a forum facilitated by psychologist\u00a0Dr. Maricar Paulino Fajardo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Such films are the Wish by Sheen Irerick Seekts and the Hawla by Mark Anthony Norella. These are documentaries that will bring light to the plight of carers. Other films are Oh Aking Katoto by Kelvin Aguilar, Jordan by Vic Acedillo Jr., and Comfort Room by Leia Reyna Pasumbal. After that, there will be moving performances of I:Underwater and Other Ruminations at Tanghalang Huseng Batute (CCP Studio Theater), at 8:00 p.m. &#8211; 10:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>I:Underwater<\/strong> is a self-revelatory performance where Issa Manalo Lopez interrogates the roots of her mental disorder and allows the audience to step in as witness, while <strong>Other Ruminations<\/strong> is a biographical theater performance by Shamaine Buencamino in collaboration with Layeta Bucoy, Jose Estrella, Kare Adea and Gerald Mercado.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"636\" height=\"429\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20544\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/12\/47480397_508729702864048_257637525965766656_n-1-e1543908719715.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/12\/47480397_508729702864048_257637525965766656_n-1-e1543908719715.jpg 636w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/12\/47480397_508729702864048_257637525965766656_n-1-e1543908719715-300x202.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Sunday<\/strong>, the orientation will start at 12:30 p.m., followed by workshops, from 1:00 p.m. &#8211; 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Cultivating Attunement, Inner Composure, and\u00a0Resilience Through Arts<\/strong> which is a visual arts workshop at Pasilyo Victorio Edades (4th Floor Hallway) will introduce some basic guides on how to be more mindful with one\u2019s thoughts and emotions and to offer a friendly attitude towards one\u2019s experiences in life.<\/p>\n<p>It also provides some basic experiential exercises on cultivating inner composure and resilience that the participants may be able to apply in their day-to-day encounters. The facilitators are the ArtPsych Circle Inc. and the MADE NOW\u00a0(Metrobank Foundation Art and Design Network of Winners), with a maximum number of 30 participants.<\/p>\n<p>They can also learn how to play the ukelele, with a session facilitated by Happy Music Ukulele Club at Bulwagang Amado Hernandez (Conference Room). Ukuleles will be sold at the Little Theater Lobby. A limited number will be lent to the participants, however.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Meanwhile, the <strong>Poetreat<\/strong> is a workshop based on the postgraduate thesis of writer Vim Nadera Jr. on Clinical Psychology, to be held at Bulwagang Pambansang Alagad ng Sining\u00a0(MKP Multi-Purpose Hall). With a maximum number of 30 participants, this workshop targets teachers and guidance counselors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The film screening will start at 1:00 p.m. &#8211; 2:30 p.m. at Tanghalang Manuel Conde (Dream Theater), with a forum facilitated by psychologist Dr. Richthofen de Jesus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Films to be screened on the second day are Elehiya sa Paglimot by Kristoffer Brugada which is about mental health disorders in special populations, and Kaktus by Clarisse Marquez which gives a glimpse of Alzheimer\u2019s disease in the elderly and Autism Spectrum Disorder in children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This will be followed by poetry readings on mental health issues, dance interpretations choreographed by Gerald Mercado and Nonoy Froilan, and video testimonials of Laya Arioder, Gabbie Tatad and Pauline Palita.<\/p>\n<p>The event is first-come-first-serve basis and activities are subject to allowable capacity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What:<\/strong>\u00a0WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME?
