The Mind Museum\u00a0<\/strong>invites you to witness one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year and\u00a0wallow in the grandeur of the cosmos at this year’s\u00a0Astro Camp<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>happening on\u00a0December 15 to 16, 2018\u00a0<\/strong>at the\u00a0Ten Cents to Heaven Leisure Camp, Tanay, Rizal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sleep under the watchful eyes of the stars, discover more about the beauty of the cosmos, and behold the\u00a0wonders of the Geminids Meteor Shower.<\/p>\n

Families and friends of all ages are invited to join the festivities at the Astro Camp. Adults must accompany children below the age of 16\u00a0during the camp.<\/p>\n

The registration fee costs Php 2, 900 per person until November 16 for early birds<\/strong>, while Php 3, 500 per person<\/strong> from November 17 to December 2<\/strong>. The regular rate is Php 3, 800 person, <\/strong>and\u00a0there will be a 10 percent discount for holders of the Unlimited Science Pass.<\/p>\n

The registration fee includes all the activities and workshops for the camp. It also includes the telescope viewing, a tent (1 tent per 4 pax), a set dinner and breakfast, and astronomy-themed souvenirs. The fee also gives the participants access to the amenities and facilities of the resort, as well as overnight parking.<\/p>\n

Further, participants can expect a bonfire experience but it will be subject to the weather condition.<\/p>\n

Through the telescope viewing activity, participants will be able to view the moon, Mars, and Venus. They will also witness the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades star cluster, and many more.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the camp is the Geminids Meteor Show, which is regarded as one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year. It is expected to have a sighting of 120 meteors per hour at its peak. The name Geminids is derived from the constellation\u00a0Gemini,\u00a0<\/em>where the meteors appear to come from in the sky.<\/p>\n
