We are fast approaching the era of sustainable living and farm-to-table products. The Philippines\u00a0is a country rich in natural resources and farmlands, and the Department of Tourism (DOT) is showcasing sustainable farm tourism through the three-day food and travel fair Philippine Harvest<\/strong>\u00a0happening at Central Square, Bonifacio Global City from August 24 to 26, 2018.<\/p>\n

In BGC, the premier lifestyle destination in the heart of the city, DOT believes that Philippine Harvest can thrive to be an avenue for both farmers and consumers. The main goal of the annual event is to promote sustainable and responsible tourism advocacy.<\/p>\n

The food and travel expo will present mini-lectures on sustainable tourism and sustainable dining, organized by their partner, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines. There was also a number of performances from a Filipino ethnic group during the first day.<\/p>\n

The line up of exhibitors come from all over the country, including Layog Country Farm from Mountain Province, Amadeo Nurture Farmacy from Cavite, Sonrisa Farm from Camarines Sur, and Mariano’s Blooming Agri-Tourism Park from South Cotabato.<\/p>\n

Apart from promoting products that are not so accessible\u00a0to Manila residents, Philippine Harvest starts a conversation about the regions and their natural products. Another is the enhanced experience of familiarizing with so many interesting places in the Philippines at once.<\/p>\n
