Impressionism is an art movement from the 19th century that captures images of modern life through everyday scenes painted in vibrant and bold colors. Capturing the natural scene, impressionism art is done in an open space where light and color are seen in a realistic way.<\/p>\n

The interest in every day and\u00a0common images art was furthered by the invention of photography such as daguerreotypes and collotypes, \u00a0as well as the popularity of Japanese ukiyo-e prints, which influenced the compositions of Impressionist art and made it accessible and familiar to middle-class art patrons.<\/p>\n

This year, Ayala Museum<\/strong> in partnership with Alliance Fran\u00e7aise de Manille<\/strong>, brings us another art appreciation talk about Understanding French Impressionism with mentor Mr.\u00a0<\/strong>Bryan Anthony Paraiso<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span>the Supervising Historic Sites Development Officer of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) and NHCP representative to the National Committee on Museums (NCOM) of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).<\/p>\n
