Last Wednesday, August 1, 2018,\u00a0NordCham\u00a0Philippines in partnership with Sofitel Philippine Plaza transported their friends and guests from the press to a Viking-themed press launch for the much-awaited celebration of the Nordic culture\u00a0\u2014<\/span>\u00a0The Crayfish Party 2018!<\/p>\n

“Camaraderie between Filipino and Nordic Community in the country,”\u00a0is what Mr. Bo Lundqvist wants this celebration to symbolize for the Nordic, Filipino and International Community. The Crayfish Party, now on its sixth year, also presents a\u00a0meaningful gathering for a cause as this year’s beneficiary is the\u00a0Chosen Children Village (CCV)\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014<\/span>\u00a0a foundation dedicated\u00a0to\u00a0providing a home environment and care facility for physically and mentally challenged children.<\/p>\n

With the celebration of true Nordic culture, this year’s Crayfish Party will be held for the second time at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila because of their commitment to gastronomic excellence through their sumptuous selection of traditional Nordic dishes, beverages, and a bountiful serving of crayfish.<\/p>\n

The festivity, of course, will not be complete without alcoholic beverages\u00a0ranging from San Miguel, Martin Miller, to Engkanto, and Absolut. Guests may also enjoy pairing it with the wide selection of Nordic dishes.<\/p>\n

\"\"The\u00a0popular Swedish drinking song,\u00a0<\/em>Helan<\/em>\u00a0G\u00e5r on the table with a liter of beer to symbolize\u00a0a traditional Nordic experience.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Guests will get to experience the traditional Nordic experience as they sing along to\u00a0Helan\u00a0G\u00e5r<\/strong>, a\u00a0popular Swedish drinking song, which is sung before a toast. Lots of singing and dancing along await guests as\u00a0The Bloomfields<\/strong> will\u00a0<\/strong>be\u00a0<\/strong>performing the greatest musical hits of all time\u00a0\u2014<\/span>\u00a0a perfect night for good friends, gastronomic food selection, laughter, and drinking.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0Crayfish Party\u00a0wouldn’t be complete if not for the star of the party. Indulge\u00a0in an authentic spread of crayfish with lemon wedges and dill leaves. This Swedish crayfish is traditionally brined in salt and lots of dill, boiled for hours\u00a0until soaked in dill flavor.<\/p>\n

This September 8, 2018, come\u00a0in your best Viking ensemble or favorite Nordic football jersey. Sing, dance,\u00a0eat and play games like a true Nordic citizen in this delightful evening happening at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila from\u00a06 p.m.\u00a0onwards.<\/p>\n
