This September 12 to 16, 2018<\/strong> get your shelves ready as the country\u2019s biggest book event, the\u00a0Manila International Book Fair,<\/strong>\u00a0returns\u00a0to the\u00a0SMX Convention Center <\/strong>in Pasay City<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cFairgoers are in for an exciting ride at this year\u2019s MIBF,\u201d Irene Lloren, president of MIBF organizer Primetrade Asia, Inc., said in a statement. \u201cThe book fair attendees have grown exponentially through the years so to cater to its growing audience, we have made sure that the activities and exhibitors in the 39 th MIBF will be truly exciting for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

On its 39th year, MIBF will provide new activities and exciting great deals, having over 100 exhibitors ranging from local indie publishers to big bookstore chains.\u00a0Attendees will surely be overwhelmed with what the event has in store for them, such as book sales and book signings. There will also be competitions, workshops, book launches, meet-and-greets, and other book-related interests.\u00a0Two floors will be opened, the Exhibit Halls 1 to 4 and Function Rooms 1 to 2, to make sure all bookworms get the full benefit.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the very first POP HUB: Comic Splash x Fandom Fest Vol. 1<\/strong> is co-locating the MIBF on September 15 and 16 at the SMX Function Room 3. The 501st Legion, a Lucasfilm-recognized worldwide costuming organization; FightSaber; The Philippine Tolkien Society; Westeros Philippines; Pinoy Harry Potter; and Hamilton PH among others will come together with renowned comic book creators, artists, writers, and collectors for a weekend of fun fellowship among fandoms.<\/p>\n

Coinciding also is a \u00a0seminar on \u201cHow to\u00a0Write a Book”<\/strong>, facilitated by an author of best- selling books\u00a0Bebang Siy<\/strong>\u00a0on September 15\u00a0 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

The seminar aims to inspire individuals who want to write and\/or publish a book. Organized by Central Books, the seminar has attracted more than a thousand people from all walks of life since it began in 2010.<\/p>\n
