The country’s premier lifestyle and design event Manila FAME<\/strong>\u00a0is back to showcase\u00a0the best of Philippine design and craftsmanship, happening this April 19 to 21, 2018 at the World Trade Center Manila, Pasay City.<\/p>\n

Playing between the lines of marketability and aesthetics, Manila FAME continues to explore new design trends, Philippine design identity, and product salability for its 67th edition.\u00a0“The show\u2019s 67th edition will put emphasis in the infusion of mainstream design trends in Philippine products and aesthetics as a means of raising the marketability of local products to international buyers,\u201d said DTI Undersecretary Nora K. Terrado.<\/p>\n

As one of the highlights of the event, Design Commune: Patterns and Palettes returns to Manila FAME as an extensive exploration of design trends introduced during its launch in Manila FAME October 2017. In this edition,\u00a0Design Commune aims to be a platform for new products, which will include the GREAT Women Project 2. In this project, women micro entrepreneurs will once again showcase their products in the event. This is also seen as a way to empower women, as well as support their sustainability and standing in the international market.<\/p>\n

New Generation Weaves from the 65th Manila FAME<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to showcase the adaptiveness of our artisans as we showcase a contemporary collection that merges the distinct Philippine aesthetics with mainstream design trends and we are looking forward to see the buyer\u2019s reception when they see Design Commune,\u201d said multi-awarded and internationally acclaimed designer Tony Gonzales, who will lead the show as the creative director.<\/p>\n

In this edition of Manila FAME, expect more\u00a0furniture, home furnishings, holiday gifts and decors, and fashion accessories to see in the event.
