Running from May 8 to June 30 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the workshops aim to challenge students to have the skills and knowledge helping them to produce the next\u00a0hit films of Cinemalaya.\u00a0Applications will be accepted until\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\"><span class=\"aQJ\">April 20<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"633\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-14429\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/03\/Filmmaking-2-1024x633.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/03\/Filmmaking-2-1024x633.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/03\/Filmmaking-2-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/03\/Filmmaking-2-768x475.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Basic Filmmaking: The Silent Film<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>This workshop is to\u00a0be led by award-winning director Carlos Siguion-Reyna, who received his M.F.A. in film from New York University\u2019s Tisch School of the Arts. The six-week course in directing is to enable the students\u00a0to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>apply the basics of film language in film exercises<\/li>\n<li>master the classic conventions and tools of the film directors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course&#8217;s purpose is to let the\u00a0students\u00a0find their cinematic voice within the basic language of narrative film.<\/p>\n<p>Towards the end of the course, each student will direct their own keystone project: a five-minute silent digital film in a narrative structure that shall be shot on day exterior locations and shall use sound effects but not music.<\/p>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"739\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-14428\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/03\/Production-Mngt-2-1024x739.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/03\/Production-Mngt-2-1024x739.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/03\/Production-Mngt-2-300x216.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/03\/Production-Mngt-2-768x554.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Introduction to Producing<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>This workshop is to be led\u00a0by\u00a0John Paul Su, Master of Fine Arts graduate of NYU\u2019s Tisch School of the Arts, a two-time recipient of\u00a0<i>Ani ng Dangal<\/i>\u00a0award and was named one of the Outstanding Filipino Artist in the field of Cinema in 2016.\u00a0Students are advised to learn Movie Magic prior the beginning of the four-week course.
