{"id":13623,"date":"2018-01-30T08:44:04","date_gmt":"2018-01-30T00:44:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/?p=13623"},"modified":"2018-01-31T17:41:26","modified_gmt":"2018-01-31T09:41:26","slug":"unima-chinese-puppetry-groups-at-the-ccp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/2018\/01\/30\/unima-chinese-puppetry-groups-at-the-ccp\/","title":{"rendered":"UNIMA Chinese Puppetry Groups at the CCP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP)\u00a0is set to present a traditional\u00a0performance of the <strong>UNIMA Chinese Puppetry Groups <\/strong>from<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>February 8 and 9, 2018 at the CCP Tanghalang Huseng Batute (THB) (Studio Theater) at 7:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13624\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2018\/01\/UNIMA-CHINESE-PUPPETRY-2018-Poster-FINAL_001-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Three Chinese Puppetry Groups are set to perform in this show.\u00a0The\u00a0<strong>Yangzhou Puppetry Troupe<\/strong>\u00a0is famous for its \u201cforcefulness and softness, delicateness and expressiveness.\u201d\u00a0 It is composed of national acknowledged senior, middle-aged and youth professional artists and a few professional puppet crafting and designing artists. The other one is the\u00a0<strong>Pingyang Puppetry Protection and Inheritance Center<\/strong>, which has\u00a0performed in Europe, America, Africa and Southeast Asia.\u00a0 They have\u00a0received over 30 national prizes and 300 provincial prizes and is one of the most influential contemporary string puppetry troupes.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Lastly, the\u00a0<strong>Sichuan Huge Puppet Theatre<\/strong>\u00a0is the only inheritance unit for the North Sichuan Huge puppet, the national intangible cultural heritage. It is a professional institute on research, safeguarding, inheritance, and development of intangible heritage in Nanchong City. \u00a0It has been recognized as the \u201cImportant Export Project of National Culture\u201d by five Ministries in China and was highly praised during its visits to several countries and regions.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Local puppeteers and performing artists are invited to participate in a special workshop on February 10 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at THB. The workshop has limited slots only on a first come-first served basis.
