According to the artist himself,\u00a0\u00a0the process is a &#8220;stream of con<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">sciousness flow where materials, subject, and personal experience come together to make up the work.&#8221;\u00a0<em>Ugat,<\/em> or root in English, sends a message with the knots, twists, and patterns he uses as he breaks away from his usual ways.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Napay has chosen the forest as a symbol of his life: the people, the experiences, all the ups and downs of his life.\u00a0His interest in nature will ultimately reflect in the roots and sculptures shown at Silverlens.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">According to Anna M.
