{"id":10456,"date":"2017-08-30T08:59:42","date_gmt":"2017-08-30T00:59:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/?p=10456"},"modified":"2017-08-31T11:33:15","modified_gmt":"2017-08-31T03:33:15","slug":"pista-rizalina-at-ccp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/2017\/08\/30\/pista-rizalina-at-ccp\/","title":{"rendered":"Pista Rizalina at CCP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To commemorate the Martial Law Era, the Cultural Center of the Philippines will stage their festival of plays entitled &#8220;Pista Rizalina&#8221; happening this coming September 8-24, 2017!<\/p>\n<p>The festival is named after Mr. Bonifacio Ilagan&#8217;s sister, Rizalina\u00a0who was a student from the University of the Philippines-Los Banos and went missing at the age of 23 in the year 1977. She is an activist and became part of the underground movement against the dictator. Rizalina together with her group was believed to be abducted by ground team 205\u00a0following the rape and execution of a number of other Filipina civilians.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"494\" height=\"599\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10459\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2017\/08\/Rizalina-Ilagan-pic2.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2017\/08\/Rizalina-Ilagan-pic2.jpg 494w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2017\/08\/Rizalina-Ilagan-pic2-247x300.jpg 247w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 494px) 100vw, 494px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>Rizalina Ilagan\/CCP<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10463\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/event\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2017\/08\/5.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Forty years after Rizalina Ilagan went missing,\u00a0similar cases of collateral damage and human right violations made noise to catch the public&#8217;s attention where extra judicial killings deem itself part of an ongoing norm. The festival aims to call attention to the universal, collective trauma brought about by arbitrary arrest, disappearance and the negation of rights.
