Montan grabbed from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nobelprize.org\/nobel_prizes\/literature\/laureates\/2010\/vargas_llosa-facts.html\">nobelprize.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Peruvian-Spanish Nobel laureate, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/lifestyle.inquirer.net\/242696\/mario-vargas-llosa-in-manila\/\">Philippine Daily Inquirer<\/a>, already arrived in Manila last Wednesday (November 2, 2016) and was welcomed by Spain\u2019s Ambassador to the Philippines Luis A. Calvo and Instituto Cervantes Director Dr. Carlos Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>He visited the Instituto Cervantes de Manila in Makati City for a press conference. Vargas Llosa was actually invited by the Instituto, the cultural arm of the Embassy of Spain, to pay a visit and give the Filipinos of 21st century a chance to re-encounter the universal writer whose literature and vital trajectory reflect a firm commitment to reality.<\/p>\n<p>On November 7, 2016, Vargas Llosa will receive Honorary Professorship from UST.
