{"id":9217,"date":"2016-11-03T17:59:14","date_gmt":"2016-11-03T09:59:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/?p=9217"},"modified":"2016-11-03T18:04:30","modified_gmt":"2016-11-03T10:04:30","slug":"ph-films-get-international-screenings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/2016\/11\/03\/ph-films-get-international-screenings\/","title":{"rendered":"PH films get international screenings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Filipino films continue to break through the international film industry as five local films will be screened in Vietnam this November, while four local films will be shown in Laos by December.<\/p>\n<p>In a report published by <a href=\"http:\/\/entertainment.inquirer.net\/204627\/laos-fest-showcases-ph-cinema\" target=\"_blank\">Philippine Daily Inquirer<\/a>, the 5th Hanoi International Film Festival in Vietnam will feature 5 Filipino films competing in different categories from November\u00a0 1 to 5, 2016. <em>Pamilya Ordinaryo<\/em> directed by Eduardo Roy Jr. is under the feature film category and is competing against 11 other entries.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9219\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2016\/11\/hanoi_international_film_festival_logo2016.jpg\" alt=\"hanoi_international_film_festival_logo2016\" width=\"519\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2016\/11\/hanoi_international_film_festival_logo2016.jpg 303w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2016\/11\/hanoi_international_film_festival_logo2016-300x117.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 519px) 100vw, 519px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">For the short film category, <em>Sibol<\/em> by Mikee de la Cruz is against 29 other films for the top award. On the other hand, two other Filipino films: Lawrence Fajardo\u2019s <em>Imbisibol<\/em> and King Palisoc\u2019s <em>Tandem<\/em> are included in the World Panorama section. <em>Water Lemon<\/em> by Lemuel Lorca is also selected for the Asean Cinema program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Meanwhile, according to a press release from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lpfilmfest.org\/pdf\/2016-Lineup.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">lpfilmfest.org<\/a>, four Filipino films are included in the lineup of the 7th Luang Prabang Film Festival on December 2 to 7, 2016 in Laos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9218\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2016\/11\/LPFF-Logo2014.png\" alt=\"lpff-logo2014\" width=\"602\" height=\"409\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2016\/11\/LPFF-Logo2014.png 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2016\/11\/LPFF-Logo2014-300x204.png 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2016\/11\/LPFF-Logo2014-768x522.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These local films include <em>Ma\u2019 Rosa<\/em> by Brillante Ma.
