License fees, on the other hand, were increased.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Roll-out for the extended validity of driver\u2019s licenses will be staggered across the country. It started on October 10 for those who applied at the Licensing Center, the Licensing Renewal Section, and the Land Transportation (LTO) Central Office in Quezon City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">All licensing centers at the LTO Compound in East Avenue, Quezon City were also allowed to issue licenses that are valid for 5 years on October 10. The rest of NCR followed this Monday, October 17.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Licenses in the regions will follow in November, starting with licensing centers in Regions 3, 4, 7, and 11 on November 2. Regions 1, 2, 6, 10, and 12 will follow suit on November 7, followed by Regions 5, 8, 9, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and the CARAGA Administrative Region on November 14.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Anyone who applies for a driver\u2019s license, new or for renewal, will be valid for five years if it is processed on or after the dates mentioned.
