Image grabbed from this website <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.osobnosti.cz\/carlo-francisco.php\"><em>osobnosti.cz<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 11-minute running short film by Tuko Film Productions and Buchi Boy entertainment entitled <em>Maria<\/em>, tells a story about a 14-year-old girl who\u2019s suspected as being pregnant by her family and a 50-year-old woman who gives birth to her 22<sup>nd<\/sup> child.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Carlo Francisco\u2019s 15-minute running <em>Sandra,<\/em> is about \u201cquirky\u201d girls who join a pseudosorority only to escape from its twisted world after.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kansk Festival\u2019s website, the two Filipino film entries are some of \u201cthe best and freest from around the world.\u201d These films \u201cexplore the boundaries of video art.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Kansk Video festival hosts annual international film and video-art competitions with a special screenings program and a bank of ideas for a further 150 years of the festivals future.
