Responsible pet owners are encouraged to protect their families. By doing so, we can make Makati a safe and secure place for our children,\u201d said Binay.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">According to City Veterinarian Dr. Ma. Katherina Mangahas, the free anti-rabies vaccination will start on September 26 (Monday) along Maya St. in Barangay Rizal. The others are scheduled as follows: September 27 (Tuesday), Cactus Open Court, Barangay Pembo; September 28 (Wednesday), Sto. Ni\u00f1o Area, Barangay\u00a0Southside; September 29 (Thursday), Progreso St., Barangay\u00a0Guadalupe Viejo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">On September 30 (Friday), the free anti-rabies vaccination will done simultaneously from 9:00 am to 12:00 nn in Barangays La Paz (P. Rivera St. cor. Mola St.), Tejeros (Barangay Hall), Singkamas, (P. Rivera St. \u2013 open court), and Kasilawan (Cagayan St.).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Mangahas said the 8\u00a0<em>barangays<\/em> were selected for the drive due to the insistent demand of residents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">About 1,367 dogs and cats were given free anti-rabies vaccination during the same event last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Earlier, Mayor Binay announced plans to have pet dogs micro-chipped upon registration with the city veterinary office.
