Former BP principal dancer Candice Adea was just adorable in Kitri&#8217;s Variation from <em>Don Quixote.<\/em> The pas de deux <em>R\/J<\/em>, a condensed version of Shakespeare&#8217;s <em>Romeo and Juliet,<\/em> made one feel fully alive, in love, then barely breathing \u2013 all in seven minutes! The <em>Bungkos <\/em>Suite, choreography by Alice Reyes, presented true Filipino character in the finest form of contemporary ballet. The <em>Songs of the Wayfarer <\/em>left a bittersweet taste in one&#8217;s mouth, making one crave for one more <em>pass\u00e9<\/em>, one more arabesque, one more <em>chass\u00e9<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-785\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/staff-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/09\/Denise-Parungao-and-Richardson-Yadao-in-George-Birkadzes-R-.jpg\" alt=\"Denise Parungao and Richardson Yadao in George Birkadze's R\" width=\"850\" height=\"566\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/09\/Denise-Parungao-and-Richardson-Yadao-in-George-Birkadzes-R-.jpg 850w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/09\/Denise-Parungao-and-Richardson-Yadao-in-George-Birkadzes-R--300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt\">A PAIR OF STAR-CROSSED LOVERS TAKE THE STAGE: <em>R\/J<\/em>\u00a0 is a seven-minute pas de deux performed by Denis Parungao and Richardson Yadao.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The showstopper that topped all showstoppers, however, was Agnes Locsin&#8217;s <em>Salome. <\/em>Guest ballerina Kris-belle Paclibar-Mamanguin captured the audience&#8217;s attention and, later, their hearts, earning the night&#8217;s first <em>Bravo!<\/em> Her strong, sharp movements that\u00a0portrayed tragedy went\u00a0against <em>and <\/em>with her soft, light <em>balanc\u00e9<\/em> that\u00a0showed nostalgia.
