(Photo by Kiko Cabuena)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lauded for its \u201cstrong sense of realism and the mix of narrative and the use of real CCTV footages,\u201d Eduardo Roy Jr.\u2019s <em>Pamilya Ordinaryo<\/em> has undoubtedly produced a successful film which has made them bag five major awards such as the Best Film, Best Direction, Best Performance of an Actress, Best Editing, and the NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema) Award for the full length category. Garilao\u2019s\u00a0<em>Fish Out of Water<\/em>.\u00a0 The Best Film and Best Screenplay awards went to\u00a0<em>Pektus<\/em>\u00a0while\u00a0<em>Fish Out of Water<\/em>\u00a0won Special Jury Prize, Best Direction.\u00a0 The NETPAC Award was garnered by\u00a0<em>Ang Maangas, Ang Marikit , At ang Makata<\/em>\u00a0by Jose Ibarra Guballa while the Audience Choice Award went to\u00a0<em>Forever Natin<\/em>\u00a0by Cyrus Valdez.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Cinemalaya is a project of the Cinemalaya Foundation, the Cultural Center of the Philippines in partnership with Ayala Malls Cinemas.\u00a0 Many of these films have won awards in local and international competitions and festivals. Through the annual festival, Cinemalaya has showcased over 1,000 works by independent filmmakers including full feature films, shorts, documentaries, Filipino film classics, and art films.
