Photo by Ramon FVelasquez, grabbed from <a href=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/b\/b0\/EDSAjf3292_03.JPG\">Wikimedia Commons<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">In a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mb.com.ph\/provincial-buses-now-banned-on-edsa\/\" target=\"_blank\">report<\/a> from the<em> Manila Bulletin<\/em>, the Metro Manila Council (MMC) approved a resolution last August 12 banning provincial buses from using EDSA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provincial bus terminals will likewise be removed from the major thoroughfare in an effort to decongest the worsening traffic the National Capital Region (NCR) faces every day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The move is in line with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte\u2019s directive during his State of the Nation Address to have all bus terminals along EDSA \u201cbe removed and referred to strategic areas outside of the metropolis with the end of decongesting said major thoroughfare.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This is seen as the start of a move that has been in the works for the past 3 years. In 2013, then-President Benigno S.
