tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #db4f95\"><strong data-start=\"2082\" data-end=\"2139\">A Film by Acclaimed Philippine Director Joel Lamangan<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2141\" data-end=\"2351\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The director of this film is Joel Lamangan, who is very well known in the Philippines.<\/span><br data-start=\"2227\" data-end=\"2230\" \/><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">He has won many awards in the Philippine film industry and is known for works that explore social themes and human drama.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2353\" data-end=\"2513\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">He is often described as one of the directors who represents Philippine cinema, so being able to appear in one of his films was truly a huge experience for me \u2728<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2353\" data-end=\"2513\"><img Fuentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2592\" data-end=\"2820\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">She is a woman who is very determined to win, and she is an incredibly strong-willed character.<\/span><br data-start=\"2687\" data-end=\"2690\" \/><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">While playing her, there were parts of her that I could relate to, and also parts that made me think, \u201cThis is different from who I am.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2822\" data-end=\"2935\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">On the surface, Isabella looks completely confident, but underneath that, she has her own struggles and emotions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2937\" data-end=\"3062\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">It was the kind of role that I built together with the director and cast, talking through how to express those deeper layers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3064\" data-end=\"3341\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">During filming, I became very close with the rest of the cast, and off camera we were all very warm and friendly with each other. But the moment the camera started rolling, the atmosphere would suddenly become full of tension \ud83d\udcf9<\/span><br data-start=\"3292\" data-end=\"3295\" \/><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">That switch was really exciting and inspiring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3064\" data-end=\"3341\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter feel that atmosphere through the film as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3579\" data-end=\"3623\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong data-start=\"3579\" data-end=\"3623\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #db4f95\">About the Sinag Maynila Film Festival<\/span> \ud83c\udfa5<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3625\" data-end=\"3752\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The Sinag Maynila Film Festival is known as a place where unique and fresh films come together in the Philippine film industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3754\" data-end=\"3941\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">It\u2019s also a space where you can find Philippine films that are a little different from commercial movies\u2014works with a strong artistic voice, as well as films that deal with social themes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3754\" data-end=\"3941\"><img so special.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4223\" data-end=\"4386\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">These days, more and more people watch films through streaming, but I really feel that the experience of watching a movie in a cinema is still something special \ud83c\udf7f<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4388\" data-end=\"4443\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong data-start=\"4388\" data-end=\"4443\"><span style=\"color: #db4f95;font-size: 14pt\">As a Japanese Actress Working in the Philippines <\/span>\ud83c\udf38<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4445\" data-end=\"4559\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">I\u2019ve mentioned this a little in past columns, but I was born in Manila and moved to Japan when I was 10 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4561\" data-end=\"4787\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Now, navigating life in Japanese, English, and Tagalog, I\u2019m working as an actress in the Philippines.<\/span><br data-start=\"4684\" data-end=\"4687\" \/><span style=\"font-family: \ud83d\udcda<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4907\" data-end=\"5123\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Sets in Japan tend to be very quiet, with everything carefully planned in detail.<\/span><br data-start=\"4988\" data-end=\"4991\" \/><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">In the Philippines, things feel a little more free, and there\u2019s more of a sense of creating things through the energy of the moment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5125\" data-end=\"5299\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">I think both have their own wonderful qualities.<\/span><br data-start=\"5173\" data-end=\"5176\" \/><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">I\u2019m just very thankful that, through these experiences, I\u2019m slowly getting the chance to be part of more and more projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5301\" data-end=\"5346\"><span style=\"font-family:
