On September 24, 2025, my first starring film \u201cMinamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna<\/em>\u201d finally premiered nationwide in the Philippines!\ud83c\udf89<\/span><\/p>\n

My Journey as a Japanese Actress in the Philippines<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As those reading my column know, it’s been three years since I started working as an actress in the Philippines.<\/span><\/p>\n

The path to being recognized as a Japanese actress in the Philippines at Viva Artists Agency\u2014the largest talent agency representing thousands of talents\u2014was truly arduous\ud83d\udcaa<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The hardest part was \u201cstaying true to myself\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As I mentioned in the premiere screening interview, standing out among thousands of agency members was incredibly tough. \ud83d\ude05 <\/span><\/p>\n

But remembering my experience as Japan’s representative in Miss Supranational Japan 2024, I gained confidence. Staying true to myself led to casting opportunities. \ud83d\udc96<\/span><\/p>\n

Acting in Tagalog, I struggled more with the differences in reactions than the language itself. <\/span>Working as an actress, I realized Filipinos express emotions so richly\u2014their reactions to joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness are completely different from Japan’s! It took time to master expressions I never used before.\ud83d\ude33<\/span><\/p>\n

A film for the whole world to see\u2708\ufe0f<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After its theatrical release in the Philippines, this movie will also stream on the VIVA ONE app, which has over 14 million members! I’m truly overwhelmed that people worldwide will get to see my performance\ud83d\ude2d\u2728<\/span><\/p>\n

My family and friends in Japan are also really looking forward to people around the world seeing it\ud83d\udc95<\/span><\/p>\n
