With an increase in travel as people head to shopping malls, holiday destinations, and family homes, traffic congestion can become a major concern.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-71434 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/12\/NO-MORE-WEEKDAY-SALE-PHOTO-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"508\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/12\/NO-MORE-WEEKDAY-SALE-PHOTO-1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/12\/NO-MORE-WEEKDAY-SALE-PHOTO-1-300x191.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/12\/NO-MORE-WEEKDAY-SALE-PHOTO-1-768x488.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To ease the burden on motorists and provide a more convenient and smoother travel experience,<strong> San Miguel Corporation (SMC) Infrastructure<\/strong> has announced the suspension of toll fees on <strong>Christmas Eve<\/strong> and <strong>New Year&#8217;s Eve<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The toll fee suspension will be in effect from <strong>10:00 p.m. on December 24 until 6:00 a.m. on December 25<\/strong> for Christmas Eve, and from <strong>10:00 p.m. on December 31 until 6:00 a.m. on January 1, 2025<\/strong>, for New Year&#8217;s Eve.<\/p>\n<p>SMC&#8217;s expressways include the <strong>Skyway System<\/strong>,<strong> NAIA Expressway (NAIAX)<\/strong>,<strong> South Luzon Expressway (SLEX)<\/strong>, <strong>STAR Tollway<\/strong>, and<strong> Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-71435 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/12\/NLEX.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"686\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/12\/NLEX.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/12\/NLEX-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2024\/12\/NLEX-768x515.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>North Luzon Expressway \/ IMAGE from flickr.com<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, to ensure motorists&#8217; safety and security during this period, SMC Infrastructure has deployed additional patrollers and security personnel along its expressways. They will be on standby to assist travelers, monitor traffic flow, and respond swiftly to any emergencies. Roadworks will also be temporarily suspended to allow for smoother travel and minimize disruptions during the holiday rush.<\/p>\n<p>In their published post on December 20, SMC Infrastructure also provided the emergency hotlines in case of road accidents or emergencies.
