First of all, it would mean so much to me if you could kindly start calling me YUKI<\/span><\/strong> instead of YANA<\/span><\/strong>. From now on, I’ll be going by this name as I share some exciting news with you today! \ud83e\udd79\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffd<\/span><\/p>\n

Department of Tourism (DOT Tokyo) Project<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the LOVE THE PHILIPPINES<\/strong> <\/em>branding campaign, 120 influencers and media personalities active in Japan were invited to explore the Philippines! It was such a fantastic initiative by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in Tokyo, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The destination options included nine (9) major tourist spots in the Philippines: Manila, Cebu, Bohol, Boracay, Siargao, Clark, Iloilo, Palawan, and Davao. I chose to go to Siargao which had been highly recommended by a friend, along with my manager, Sato.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meeting Manager Sato <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

People often ask, “What\u2019s your relationship with Manager Sato?” I\u2019ve always replied, “He’s a longtime friend who now manages my work in Japan.” But the truth is, we\u2019ve actually been together for ten years. <\/span><\/p>\n

Due to my showbiz career, we kept our relationship private until now. But this trip felt like the perfect opportunity to share it publicly for the first time. I hope to share with you a few glimpses of our story through this blog!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Memories on Siargao Island<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

When you think of Siargao, you think of surfing! It\u2019s one of the most famous surfing spots in the Philippines. I saw a pro surfer from Japan, and he was incredibly cool on the waves. Unfortunately, I couldn\u2019t surf this time because I can’t swim and I was also nervous about getting injured before filming. But I\u2019ll definitely be back to challenge myself next time!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Big Surprise on Siargao Island <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Sato and I had already decided that we would go public about our relationship on this trip, and we were told there would be a couple\u2019s photoshoot in Siargao. We spent our days visiting beautiful beaches, riding bikes, and enjoying delicious Filipino cuisine\u2014it was all truly unforgettable!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

For the final scene of our photoshoot, I was told it would be at a romantic spot, which got me really excited. We arrived at the world-renowned five-star resort Nay Palad<\/em><\/strong>. It felt like a dream, knowing that even Filipino celebrities stayed there. They reserved a beautiful spot within the resort that featured mangroves and the most stunning sunset\u2014a true romantic setting. As I was watching the sunset, I heard Sato call my name.<\/span><\/p>\n

When I turned around, he had changed into a white jacket and shirt and suddenly got down on one knee. At first, I thought it was just part of the photoshoot, but then he pulled a ring from his chest pocket. “Wait… is this a proposal??”<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, my answer was YES! It turns out, the videographer was in on it too, and it was all part of Sato’s big surprise!!! You can check out the proposal video here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>. I’m also happy to share with you some highlights of our trip to Siargao here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>!<\/span><\/p>\n
