After all, it&#8217;s like a blank canvass for flavors. It&#8217;s available in every season and can be included in pretty much any kind of dish such as stews, stir-fries, salads, and noodles. Plus, it\u2019s low on calorie, rich in calcium and vitamin D, and an excellent source of protein. With so many options, you won&#8217;t even have to repeat a recipe!<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of the devil, we at Philippine Primer are sharing with you a <strong>quick and easy tofu recipe<\/strong>. Now let&#8217;s get to cooking!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42695\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/07\/800x534_071222.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>Deep-fried tofu with soup stock\/IMAGE from Philippine Primer<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\n1 block (400g) tofu<br \/>\n50g radish<br \/>\n5g ginger<br \/>\n5g spring onions<br \/>\n2 tbsp corn or potato starch for dredging<br \/>\ncooking oil for frying<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soup stock:<\/strong><br \/>\n4 tbsp water<br \/>\n2 tbsp soy sauce<br \/>\n1 tbsp sugar<br \/>\n1 pinch dashi powder (optional)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooking directions:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Put the tofu on a paper towel and chop into 4 equal parts.<br \/>\n2. Place the tofu on a plate and cover with plastic wrap, and heat in the microwave for a minute to dehydrate.<br \/>\n3. Grate radish and ginger. Slice the spring onions into strips, then soak in water.<br \/>\n4. Dredge the tofu in the starch, then fry in oil at 170\u2103 for about 2 minutes.<br \/>\n5. Mix the soup stock ingredients in a bowl and heat in a microwave for a minute.<br \/>\n6. Put the tofu on a plate and pour the soup stock over it.<br \/>\n7.
