MANILA Philippines June 26 2017–Sofitel Manila Plaza Manila together with Runrio promotes wellness and a healthy lifestyle as it hold this year\u2019s Sofitel Manila Half Marathon dated on the 21st<\/sup> of August 2016 at CCP Complex Open Field.<\/span><\/p>\n

For over four years, they have partnered with the country\u2019s foremost running event organizer, RunRio, led by Coach Rio de la Cruz which brings the much-awaited event to a new venue.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now taking off from the CCP Open field, they are expecting for a bigger number of participating runners to fill-up the entire place together with the organizers in able\u00a0 to generate more funds for the Virlanie Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOver 4,300 participants joined last year\u2019s successful run and we continue to encourage more wellness and fitness enthusiasts to participate this year. We were able to raise Php 750,000 for Virlanie Foundation, enabling the young, less fortunate children of Manila.\u201d Shared by\u00a0 Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila\u2019s General Manager, Adam Laker last Monday for a press conference held at Davao Function Hall.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Marathon leader Coach de la Cruz, the half marathon will feature three categories at 5K, 10K and 21K with start and end points at CCP open field where hydration stations are situated for the runners. The marathon takes runners through a panoramic view of the bay area showcasing the scenic surrounds and promoting a green lifestyle.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope to continue engaging runners to join events like Sofitel Manila Half Marathon that not only is a hub for both amateur and professional runners but also serves a noble purpose \u2014 to make a difference in the lives of the children of Manila through the Virlanie Foundation,\u201d as shared by Coach Rio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Online registration had started last June 27 until August 7 where participants can reserve their slots at www.sofitelmanilahalfmarathon.com<\/a> and feedback@runrio.com<\/a>. While the in-store registration begun on July 13 up until August 14 at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, Runnr Store Bonifacio High Street, Runnr Trinoma, Timex Megamall and Toby\u2019s Mall of Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n
