Filipinos in and close to usually find it hard to find their favorite chicken, spaghetti, and hamburger; they say New York versions of said food tastes better, but nothing beats what we loved as kids. Well, worry no more! Jollibee <\/strong>will soon open its doors in Manhattan!<\/span><\/p>\n

In a report from the Commercial Observer<\/a>, Jollibee Foods Corporation will open a branch in Manhattan, near the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Though there aren\u2019t many Filipinos in New York, the bus terminal is frequently used by those coming from New Jersey, which has a large population of Filipinos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jollibee\u2019s Manhattan branch will be located at the ground floor of 609 Eighth Avenue, with a total floor space of 2,723 square feet, according to Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail. They join US sandwich retail chain Arby\u2019s in the space.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe proximity to the Port Authority along with the tremendous pedestrian count makes this Eighth Avenue corridor an ideal location for fast-casual brands. Both Jollibee and Arby\u2019s choosing to locate their Manhattan flagship stores here further solidifies the strength of this sub-market\u201d, said Daniel Iwanicki, Director of Leasing and Development at Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation.<\/span><\/p>\n

This branch also joins the Jollibee Queens, NY branch, where reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzback recently dropped by for a bite to eat<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
