Images courtesy of <a href=\"earthquakecountry.info\">earthquakecountry.info<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">2.<em> It doesn\u2019t matter where you are. <\/em>Just perform the duck, cover, and hold maneuver for 45 seconds, and then make your way out of the building to a safe, open area in an orderly fashion. On the road? Stop the vehicle for one minute, unless you\u2019re on a flyover or a tunnel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">3.<em> Traffic will be heavy<\/em>, so a little patience is needed. Make sure you\u2019re at work earlier than usual to avoid the traffic jams.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">4.<em> Public services will go as scheduled. <\/em>Don\u2019t worry about not being able to access public services. There won\u2019t be a half-day off during the drill, as it\u2019s designed to simulate an earthquake on a normal day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">5.<em> Know your evacuation centers.<\/em> You won\u2019t need to go to them, but it\u2019s best if you know which quadrant you belong to as well as your respective evacuation center:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>a. North: Caloocan, Mandaluyong, Quezon City, San Juan, Valenzuela<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u2022 UP Diliman, Three S Center, La Loma Cemetery, Pinaglabanan Shrine<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>b. East: Marikina, Pasig<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u2022 Ultra Complex, Training Center at C. Raymundo St., Marikina Boys Town, Red Cross Compound Marikina, Marikina City Hall<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>c. South: Las Pi\u00f1as, Makati, Muntinlupa, Para\u00f1aque, Pasay, Pateros, Taguig<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u2022 University of Makati Complex, Near Garden of Memories Cemetery, Cayetano Science High School, Para\u00f1aque City Hall, Sucat Posadas in Muntinlupa, Filinvest MTB Trail, Sunken Garden at Gen. Paulino Santos Ave.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>d. West: Manila, Malabon, Navotas<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u2022 Cuneta Astrodome, University of Sto. Tomas, Ampitheater near Malabon City Hall<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">6. <em>It all goes down at 9 a.m.<\/em> Radio stations will sound the earthquake alarm signaling the start of the drill. Businesses, churches, schools, and other institutions may sound their own alarms or bells. Make sure you\u2019re prepared once the alarm goes off if you\u2019re participating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">7. Take<em> the drill seriously.<\/em> It\u2019s meant to help you in the likelihood of the \u201cBig One\u201d happening.
