A magnitude 5.7 earthquake shook Occidental Mindoro<\/strong> early Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) announced.<\/p>\n

Phivolcs said the tectonic quake jolted 23 kilometers northeast of Looc at around 1:12 a.m. and at a depth of 76 kilometers.<\/p>\n

In a bulletin issued by Phivolcs at 4:54 a.m., Intensity IV was felt in Calatagan, Lian, Lipa City, Malvar and Nasugbu, Batangas; Malolos City and Obando, Bulacan; Cavite City, General Trias City, Naic, Amadeo, Bacoor City, Dasmari\u00f1as City, Tagaytay City and Tanza, Cavite; Bi\u00f1an City and Cabuyao City, Laguna; Las Pi\u00f1as City; Malabon City; Mandaluyong City; City of Manila; Marikina City; Muntinlupa City; Para\u00f1aque City; San Juan City; Taguig City; Pateros, Metro Manila; Abra De Ilog, Looc, Lubang and Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro; Baco, Naujan and Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; and San Mateo and Taytay, Rizal.<\/p>\n

Intensity III was recorded in Santo Tomas City, Batangas; Makati City; Pasay City; Pasig City; Quezon City; Valenzuela City; Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro; Antipolo City; and Socorro, Oriental Mindoro.<\/p>\n

Intensity II was felt in Los Ba\u00f1os, Laguna; and Palayan City, Nueva Ecija; while Intensity I was reported in Arayat, Pampanga.<\/p>\n

The following instrumental intensities were recorded in these areas:<\/p>\n

Intensity V – Tagaytay City
\nIntensity IV – Batangas City and Calatagan, Batangas; Malolos City, Marilao and Plaridel, Bulacan; Carmona, Cavite; Malabon City; Muntinlupa City; Calapan City and Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro
\nIntensity III – Pandi, Bulacan; Las Pi\u00f1as City; Marikina City; Pasig City; San Juan City; Guagua, Pampanga; Dolores, Quezon; Olongapo City, Zambales
\nIntensity II – Baler, Aurora; Do\u00f1a Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan; Makati City; Mandaluyong City
\nIntensity I – Cabanatuan City and Palayan City, Nueva Ecija; Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Lopez, Quezon<\/p>\n

A magnitude 4.5 aftershock 19 kilometers northeast of Looc was felt at around 1:40 a.m.<\/p>\n

The agency said aftershocks and damage to properties are expected from the temblor.<\/p>\n
