The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)<\/strong> teamed up with selected malls to provide Temporary Off-Site Passport Services (TOPS)\u00a0<\/b>for all Filipinos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin Jr.<\/strong> led the opening in one of the five\u00a0TOPS\u00a0<\/b>at\u00a0SM Mall of Asia<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>He cited that the initiative will help to accommodate additional 2,500 passport appointment slots per day.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the clamor for more slots heightened, we listened and acted, and today we offered a solution\u2026 If this is not enough, tell us and we will listen and act as only the DFA can,\u201d Locsin said.<\/p>\n

Other DFA TOPS offices are located in SM City North Edsa<\/b>,\u00a0Robinsons Place Magnolia<\/b>, and SM Aura.\u00a0<\/b>In addition, an off-site courtesy lane was also launched at Ayala Malls Glorietta<\/b>. He added that the five TOPS offices would open an additional\u00a0177,500 passport appointment slots during its run from July 7 until the end of September.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the DFA is planning to expand TOPS offices outside Metro Manila in the coming weeks to help regions with high demands of passport appointments.<\/p>\n

Applicants who wish to renew their passport at the TOPS may book their appointments at the official Passport Online Appointment System at passport.gov.ph<\/a>.<\/p>\n
