{"id":60074,"date":"2021-04-15T17:00:31","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T09:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/?p=60074"},"modified":"2021-04-15T15:43:40","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T07:43:40","slug":"qc-under-liquor-ban-manila-still-requires-qpass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/2021\/04\/15\/qc-under-liquor-ban-manila-still-requires-qpass\/","title":{"rendered":"QC Under Liquor Ban, Manila Still Requires QPass"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Quezon City government will continue to impose <strong>a liquor ban<\/strong> under a more relaxed modified enhance community quarantine (MECQ) amid the rising of the Covid-19 cases.<\/p>\n<p>QC Mayor <strong>Joy Belmonte<\/strong> signed a memorandum containing the MECQ guidelines which states that the liquor ban \u201cshall take effect immediately\u201d until <strong>April 30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60082\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2021\/04\/539714_372052839496237_621345793_n.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2021\/04\/539714_372052839496237_621345793_n.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2021\/04\/539714_372052839496237_621345793_n-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>Quezon City Hall\/IMAGE from Quezon City Official Facebook page<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll retail sales of alcoholic beverages shall remain suspended for the duration of these guidelines,\u201d the memorandum read.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the unified curfew in National Capital Region\u00a0 (NCR) is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., and states that all people must be at home before the said curfew. Exception of the rule are people who are going and returning from work in essential businesses or traveling that have a pre-booked ticket prior to lockdown.<\/p>\n<p>Essential activities may operate on a 24-hour basis, including public transportation, couriers, cargo vehicles, market delivery, food take-out and delivery, pharmacies, hospitals, convenience stores, and delivery of essential goods.<\/p>\n<p>The business process outsourcing (BPO), and other businesses exporting goods or services are also allowed to operate on a 24-hour basis.<\/p>\n<p>Also Read: <em><a dine-in services are not allowed in QC, however, al fresco or outdoor dine-in are allowed from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. imposing proper distancing or setting up barriers in between customers.<\/p>\n<p homes for essential needs are still required to show a quarantine pass (QPass).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsidering that restrictions on the movement of persons are the same during ECQ and MECQ, the requirement of quarantine pass observed under ECQ is validly carried over to MECQ as a requirement,\u201d the Manila Barangay Bureau\u2019s guidelines read.<\/p>\n<p>Like Quezon City, Manila will also continue to limit persons to access essential goods and services and for work in permitted establishments.<\/p>\n<p>Also Read: <em><a government also reminds the public that violators may be penalized.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn both ECQ and MECQ, any violation of restrictions shall constitute non-cooperation of the person or entities punishable under Section 9 par (d) or as the case may be, of RA 11332,\u201d the guideline read.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Source: <em><a
