He said couples should only have two to three children at most for them to properly raise their kids.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">He cited the country\u2019s problem with overpopulation as a reason to reinstate family planning. He\u2019s looking towards Davao City\u2019s Family code, where they give away contraceptives for free, as well as giving incentives to women who voluntarily go through tubal ligation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">When asked about how the church will react, he says he may be Catholic, but he\u2019s also a realist. He says he is willing to have a debate with church leaders and explain why the country needs a proper family planning program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This is the latest in the feisty Davao City Mayor\u2019s string of policies he will implement once he takes his place as the country\u2019s 16<sup>th<\/sup> president come June 30.
