Winning via a clear unanimous decision, world-renowned boxing champ Manny Pacquiao defeated Timothy Bradley in a 116-110 scorecard by all three ringside judges last April 9 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Knocking Bradley down at the seventh and ninth rounds, Pacquiao overpowered Bradley in their 12-rounds of welterweight match. This is Pacquiao and Bradley\u2019s third match, wherein Pacquiao beat the latter in two fights. Eleven months after his much talked about loss to Mayweather, there have been speculations whether this fight against Bradley was going to be his last fight as a professional boxer.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to CBS News, Pacquiao has been quoted to speak about his retirement at a news conference last Wednesday. “As of now I am retired,” Pacquiao said. “I am going to go home and think about it but I want to be with my family. I want to serve the people.”<\/span><\/p>\n

But according to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, he\u2019s not going to advertise this fight as Pacquiao\u2019s career finale, although Pacquiao told him that he was going to retire already. On the other hand, Freddie Roach, Pacquiao\u2019s boxing coach, said that they have briefly talked about this retirement but they were focused on this last fight. However, Roach thinks that Pacquiao can still have more fights. \u201cI do think Manny has more quality fights in him. His power, speed, work ethic are still superior to most others,” said Pacquiao according to ESPN\u2019s report.<\/span><\/p>\n

As per Pacquiao, he was quoted to have said “After this fight I have already said that my mind is to focus on my job.”\u00a0This is in relation to Pacquiao\u2019s decision to run for a senatorial post in the Philippines this upcoming May elections. \u00a0“If I win a senate seat, I have a big responsibility and I need to focus on that\u2026 My mind right now says to retire, but we don’t know,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n
