Initially selecting <strong>3,200 nominees<\/strong>, the judges have chosen <strong>300 finalists<\/strong> from <strong>22 different countries and territories <\/strong>from the Asia-Pacific\u00a0who satisfy Forbes&#8217; criteria by demonstrating strong leadership, impact, potential of success, and the embodiment of the entrepreneurial spirit.<\/p>\n<p>Among the selected,\u00a0meet the 5 Filipinos who earned a spot on this list:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Francis Plaza<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PlazaFrancis\/posts\/10218576891987369?__tn__=-R<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/profile\/francis-plaza\/#4a8028c86c36\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Francis<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/profile\/francis-plaza\/#4a8028c86c36\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Plaza<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">landed a spot in Forbes&#8217; finance and venture capital category. He is the co-founder and CEO of <strong>PayMongo<\/strong> in the Philippines\u2014an online payment processing platform that garnered $2.7 million during its startup. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Before he established PayMongo, he worked as a software engineer at Oracle and co-founded Muber. Additionally, he graduated with a bachelor&#8217;s degree in computer science and engineering at MIT.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Louise De Guzman Mabulo<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=10212475229554013&#038;set=a.1189147787095&#038;type=3&#038;__tn__=-R<\/p>\n<p>Landing a spot in the Social Entrepreneurs category, 21-year old <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/profile\/louise-mabulo\/#542da21d1b4a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Louise Emmanuelle De Guzman Mabulo<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>the\u00a0founder of <strong>The Cacao Project<\/strong>, which advocates for the protection of farmers in the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>The Cacao Project was created to provide Philippine farmers cacao plant seedlings along with bok choy, okra, and pumpkins as a way to diversify crops and maintain the soil&#8217;s fertility.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, her project has already helped more than 200 farmers plant 80,000 trees. For her efforts, she has been awarded as a Young Champion of the Earth 2019 by the United Nations Environment Programme.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Carlos Yulo<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B5jXjb0hhOk\/<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A 20-year old Filipino Gymnast, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/profile\/carlos-yulo\/?list=30under30-asia-entertainment-sports#51e21890295a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Carlos Yulo<\/strong><\/a>, is one of the Filipinos selected for the Entertainment and Sports category.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Known for his contribution to Philippine gymnastics, he received multiple awards such as being the first male athlete in Southeast Asia to win a gold medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in 2019, earned two gold and five silvers medals at the Southeast Asian Games, and received the President&#8217;s Award in March.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Yulo will be representing the Philippines in the upcoming 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Margielyn Didal<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/margielyn.didal\/posts\/2707607026035378<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Also included in the Entertainment and Sports category is 20-year old Margielyn Didal from Cebu City. He is also the founder of Alexandrite Pictures, an independent studio that creates commercials and advocacies through commissions.
