But what most of us don&#8217;t know is that this specific medical specialty deals with both medical and surgical aspects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In fact, dermatology is not just limited to dealing with cosmetics and other related aesthetics. This field is also concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of the skin, hair, and nails.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">With that, let&#8217;s get to know how Dr. Karla Angela C. Luchangco, MD, DPDS pursued dermatology and why this field is more than skin deep.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Dr. Karla Angela C. However, as she went through her medical training, she was amazed by how much can be done without having to go under the knife. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She also shares that dermatology is not only concerned with aesthetics but also treating medical diseases. Dr. Luchangco treats her patients only when necessary. If the patients won\u2019t benefit from it, she doesn\u2019t offer treatment even if the patient asks for it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At present, she practices exclusively at <strong>BeautiqueMD <\/strong>in<strong> BGC<\/strong> and is a <strong>Diplomate of the Philippine Dermatological Society<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr. Luchangco advises those who wish to pursue medicine to never stop learning and to always pursue knowledge because the field is constantly evolving.
