{"id":54408,"date":"2020-03-23T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-23T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/?p=54408"},"modified":"2020-03-23T14:28:35","modified_gmt":"2020-03-23T06:28:35","slug":"travel-restrictions-for-inbound-and-outbound-travelers-imposed-amid-covid-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/2020\/03\/23\/travel-restrictions-for-inbound-and-outbound-travelers-imposed-amid-covid-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Travel Restrictions for Inbound and Outbound Travelers Imposed Amid COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In pursuant to the Enhanced Community Quarantine (EQC) implemented by the national government to prevent the further transmission of COVID-19 in the country, here are travel restrictions imposed by the <strong>Department of Tourism (DOT)<\/strong> and <strong>Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)<\/strong>\u00a0for both inbound and outbound travelers, foreign and local.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49159\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/10\/ClarkInternationalAirport.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/10\/ClarkInternationalAirport.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/10\/ClarkInternationalAirport-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/10\/ClarkInternationalAirport-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Inbound Travel Restrictions on Foreign Travelers<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As per\u00a0the travel advisory issued by DFA last March 20:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Entry of foreign nationals is restricted starting March 22, 2020, 12 a.m.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">All issuance for entry visas for visa-required foreign nationals\u00a0is suspended.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">All previously-issued visas are canceled.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Visa-free privileges of foreign nationals are temporarily suspended.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Inbound Travel Restrictions on Filipino Travelers<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">All arriving Filipino passengers, including their spouse and children whether they are Filipino or foreign national, shall be allowed entry subject to quarantine procedures.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Foreign crew members, as well as foreign government and International Organization officials, accredited to the Philippines shall be allowed entry.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Land, air, and sea travel of uniformed personnel for official business, especially those transporting medical supplies, laboratory specimens, related to COVID-19, and other humanitarian assistance shall be allowed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Outbound Travel Restrictions on Foreign Travelers<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Upon the\u00a0updated guidelines of the\u00a0Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) last March 18, all individuals including foreign nationals, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), and balikbayans are now allowed to fly out of the country at any time provided they travel only to the airport within 24 hours of the date and time of their departure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Outbound passengers may only be accompanied by one person and shall carry and provide the documents of their departure such us electronic ticket (e-ticket) or flight itinerary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52788\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/Airport01-IMG20200131140342Philippine-Primer.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"712\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Tourist assistance<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">DOT, in close collaboration with Local Government Unit officers, local airport staff and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">also created a <strong>Tourism Airport Team\u00a0<\/strong>that will provide a 24-hour service to all the tourists at the airport.
