We are back with the annual gathering of travel and hospitality industries from various countries to offer the best travel opportunities to the public. The\u00a027th<\/b>\u00a0Travel Tour Expo <\/b>(TTE) will run this\u00a0February 7\u00a0<\/b>to 9<\/strong> at the\u00a0SMX Convention Center<\/b>\u00a0in Pasay City!<\/p>\n

Catch renowned airline companies, top travel agencies and tour providers at the three-day event. The general admission fee is<\/strong>\u00a0Php 70 and Php 50 for senior citizens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony yesterday gathered distinguished guests including PTAA\u00a0President\u00a0Ritchie Tuano,\u00a0DOT Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat,\u00a0Mukul Sukhani <\/strong>from Citibank, Erhan Balaban General Manager <\/strong>of Manila Turkish Airlines,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Zaidi Bin Kassim, Director of Tourism Malaysia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Tuano’s opening remarks, he stated that this year’s event is “a vehicle\u00a0to achieve the Department of Tourism\u2019s target of 9.2 million international visitors this 2020.”<\/p>\n

He also mentioned how the event is working with the\u00a0Department of Health (DOH) to prepare the PTAA\u00a0for any health and safety threats that may arise. There will be mandatory\u00a0body temperature checks, hand sanitizers, and alcohol dispensers around the venue.<\/p>\n

The keynote address was given by\u00a0Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat wherein she praised TTE for becoming the “go-to (event)\u00a0for every budget-conscious travel-loving and fun-seeking Filipino and foreigner alike.”<\/p>\n

“The year 2019 was a landmark year for our industry,” Puyat said. “We breached the 8 million mark in foreign visitor arrivals, a first in the history of our country’s tourism.”<\/p>\n

She also presented\u00a0new tourism advertisements promoting not only the products and destinations but more on the lesser-known destinations in the country.<\/p>\n
