After its launch in September of last year, there had been 1,378 entries\u00a0from all ASEAN Member States.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-52906\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/JakartaWinner1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/JakartaWinner1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/JakartaWinner1-290x218.jpg 290w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/JakartaWinner1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/JakartaWinner1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/JakartaWinner1.jpg 1174w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Manguiat&#8217;s winning design was\u00a0inspired by a \u2018blooming flower,\u2019 which represents prosperity and unity among the ASEAN Member States. The design itself is composed of three things which were classified as a <strong>flower<\/strong>, <strong>ASEAN Countries<\/strong>, and <strong>Youth and\/or Abstract People<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The <strong>Abstract People\u00a0<\/strong>represents the youth of ASEAN and how they are helping each other towards the association&#8217;s mission and vision. The colors<strong> red<\/strong> and <strong>blue<\/strong>, on the other hand, represent the colors of all ASEAN countries\u2019 flags. The former also symbolizes courage and dynamism while the latter signifies peace and stability.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52919\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/asean.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"378\" height=\"378\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/asean.png 378w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/asean-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/asean-90x90.png 90w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 378px) 100vw, 378px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The design has <strong>10 petals<\/strong> in a circular shape\u00a0representing each ASEAN Member States and their unity. The shape of a flower also\u00a0depicts the cultural diversity\u00a0and economic prosperity of each country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Manguiat&#8217;s design will be featured in various materials and high profile events throughout 2020 to celebrate and foster ASEAN Identity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-52917\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2020\/02\/JakartaWinner3-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN Ambassador Noel Servigon (third from left) with Joemari Manguiat (fourth from left) and Philippine Mission personnel<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The idea to designate 2o2o as the Year of ASEAN Identity was discussed during the 26th Meeting of the Senior Officials Committee for the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community on May 16, 2019.
