The Metrobank Art & Design Excellence<\/strong> (MADE) is now on its 36th year as Metrobank Foundation, Inc.’s excellence recognition program for the visual arts. Launched last February 1, the annual series of art events Art MADE Public<\/strong>\u00a0is set to make waves throughout the country!<\/p>\n

Established in 1984 by the late Metrobank Group founder and chairman Dr. George Ty Siao Kian, MADE served as a platform of discovery for many of the passionate and creative visionaries in the country.<\/p>\n

In partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, SM Supermalls, and United Architects of the Philippines, Art MADE Public 2020 will be holding activities such as art exhibits, lectures, and workshops around the country.<\/p>\n

With the theme SPECTRUM: The Art of Possibilities<\/em>, MADE is challenging Filipino artists to create artworks representing Filipino artistic excellence.\u00a0Art MADE Public runs from February to April 10, 2020<\/strong>, to be staged in various cultural institutions and SM Supermalls.<\/p>\n

\"\"Lectures will also be scheduled until April 10 and posted on their social media pages\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Lectures will be held by renowned Filipino artists, architectural and heritage practitioners. While the venues will serve as a source of information and guidelines for interested artists who plan to join the MADE Recognition Programs for Painting and Sculpture.<\/p>\n

Part of the activities for the year includes the MADE Recognition Program for Painting and Sculpture<\/strong>. The deadline for submission of entries is on\/or before May 8, 2020. Interested participants may register online. Grand awardees will each receive Php 500,000 worth of financial assistance and fund for artistic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
