Light Rail Transit 1 (LRT-1)<\/strong>\u00a0is set to implement a\u00a0temporary passenger traffic scheme<\/strong>\u00a0in select stations effective from\u00a0January 4, 2020 to March 4, 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

LRT-1 Roosevelt Station<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This is to integrate the ongoing construction of the\u00a0Common Station<\/strong>, also known as the Unified Grand Central Station (UGCS)<\/strong>, which set to connect\u00a0the line systems\u00a0of LRT-1, Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3), MRT-7, and the Metro Manila Subway.<\/p>\n

UGCS will be a\u00a0centralized hub for four railway lines covering\u00a0a 13,700-square meter concourse area and is dubbed\u00a0to be the\u00a0country\u2019s largest railway station.<\/p>\n

In the passenger traffic scheme, all LRT-1 trains will no longer reach the last stop which is the Roosevelt station. Hence, northbound passengers will have to get off at\u00a0either\u00a0Monumento\u00a0or\u00a0Balintawak stations.<\/p>\n

For passengers bound to Roosevelt station, they have to take the\u00a0Baclaran-to-Balintawak circuit<\/strong>, a special\u00a0shuttle train that will exclusively take passengers to\u00a0the Roosevelt Station every 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, passengers can also take the\u00a0Baclaran-to-Monumento circuit<\/strong>\u00a0if they want to avoid the build-up of passengers in the Monumento station during peak hours.<\/p>\n

All 20 stations\u00a0of LRT-1 is said to still be\u00a0in full operation\u00a0while the construction of the Common Station is in process. The\u00a0Department of Transportation (DOTr) aims to complete the Common Station project by the end of 2020.<\/p>\n
